5 gallon bucket, clear rubber hose, paper, graphite
Evaporation Drawings are drawings made over time using a Water Level. A Water Level is made by connecting a clear hose to a bucket filled with water. With the force of gravity the level of water at the end of the hose will be the same as the level in the bucket. Using the water level in the hose as a guide, a line is drawn across a sheet of paper 1x per day. The descending lines on the page then describe the rate of evaporation from the bucket that will be unique to that site’s atmospheric conditions.
